CCRT Program

ABSS in collaboration with Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) under the aegis of Ministry Of Culture, Government of India organized  festival on Unity in Diversity in the year 2005-06 in Pune Maharashtra.

The festival aimed at creating an awareness of the richness and variety of India’s performing arts as well as providing an opportunity to the scholarship holder to meet eminent Gurus of artists students and exchange their views and ideas on the regional manifestation of different art forms. Besides the lecture demonstration by eminent artists and Gurus individual group performances by the budding young artists was arranged every day.

About 125 scholarship holders representing 40 different art forms participated in the festival. It included classical dance forms like  Bharatnatyam, Kathak Mohiniattam, Odissi ,Kuchipudi, Manipuri Kathakali Satriya and folk art forms such as folk music and dances.

Besides the scholarship holders getting specialized traning in Hindusthani and Carnatic Music Vocal as well as participating musical instruments like flute , table,violin,Mrudangam,Satar,Veena,Jaltarang etc were participated. Traditional art forms in the form of drama, puppetry ,Lavani ,yakshagana ,uthanthullal were also performed.

The participants interacted and worked with eminent local Gurus and artists namely Shri. Shekhar Kambhojkar, Shri. Sunil Awchat,Smt.Anuradha Jog, Shri Uday Deshpande .

On the concluding day the participants presented four synchronized item.
