CULTURAL CITY - Like every city, Pune has its own identity. It’s the Oxford of East, Sporting capital of the Country, Prominent, Historical, educational seat of Maharashtra, India & its main identity is that it’s the cultural capital of Maharashtra.
 
 
AIM TO ORGANISE SUCH FEST./CONTEST :- Just mere saying that we Indians are together, our Culture is one was not enough & so Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh with an urge to bring the entire Nation in Pune under one shelter tying the stream of  Indian Culture in a string , organized this Grand Laudable event which has become a continuos phenomenon in Pune’s Cultural identity.The socio-economic status of Maharashtra compared to other states from the point of Festivals is well established & is also known for its Traditional Cultural Dramatic stage. It was each & every ones struggle to have an National Level Festival in Maharashtra. Through these the  budding up growing artists , students ,artists from all over India can showcase their talents, share their culture & tradition creating National Integrity & Universal Brotherhood. Indian Classical Art will reach to even a common man through these Festivals. There will be increase in programs of regional Dramas, Dances & Music with audience of its own.
 
AKHIL BHARATIYA SANSKRUTIK SANGH (Official Partner of UNESCO :- Our organization works in close collaboration with Centre for Cultural Resources & Training (Ministry of Culture) Govt. Of India , is also a Member Of International Dance Council CID-UNESCO-Paris, associate Member of International Amateur Theatre Association-Belgium & Assitej International-Sweden.
 
PEOPLES PARTICIPATION : The Festival has kept itself away from loud & vulgar display of misplaced enthusiasm which had become common place elsewhere. Noticing the quality of its programs, people have been participating in this Festival in growing number. From last 13 years the number of programs have now increased till 2046 programs in 10 days. Children, youth & open categories; Similarly primary/secondary schools, Colleges, Arts Institutes & Cultural /Art Centers / circles / individuals / groups from all over India are always taking part in this grand laudable Fest. In this Festival from all over India different organization with their eminent personalities in the field of Dance , Drama, Music accompanying their students have performed. THIS YEAR 2170 PROGRAMMES WITH 7500 ARTISTS FROM 27 STATES PARTICIPATED.
 
UNIQUE FESTIVAL : This Festival is regarded as the only Cultural Festival in Pune, Maharashtra organized for 10 days in the three different Auditoriums from morning   9.00 am to midnight 12.30 pm. There is no commercial aspects of this Fest. The viewership is only by invitations. There are no tickets for this Fest.
 
In this Multilingual Drama, Dance, Music Fest. Amalgam of Events like
 
* The Dance Fest with different Styles like Indian Classical :-Bharatnatyam, kathak, Kuchipudi, Manipuri, Satriya, Odissi, Regional Folk, semiclassical dances in different 5 age groups in 
    10 days.
 
* The Vocal Fest. With different styles like :-Hindustani-Light Classical, Karnataki-Classical, Light, Folk, Patriotic songs in 10 days.
 
* The Instrumental Fest. with different type of Instruments like:-Wind, Taal, String, Percussion, Electronic Instruments in 10 days.
 
* Multilingual Drama /Monoact 

DIGNITIES VISITED:- The inaugration was conducted in the presence of Hon. Mrunal Kulkarni( Renowned Film Star). The vocal & instrumental section was inaugrated by hon. Savani Shende(Renowned Classical Singer). 

The Closing /Valedictory function was held on 1st June 2018 at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch. Hon. Shyam Benegal was the Guest of Honour & was Feliciated by ABSS with the title -Swami Vivekanand Rashtriya Kala Kirti Puraskar.

JURY PANEL:-   ABSS since 13 years is very particular about judges.The Jury pannel included renowned personalities who have dedicated their whole life for the arts

Hon. Sushree Anurekha Ghosh -  Classical Kathak Dancer & Choreographer has a  branch in Kolkata, India called NATMANDIR in 2009.  NATMANDIR has a dynamic performing wing engaging a team of talented professional dancers, musicians and a production team and a training wing.  NATMANDIR has produced a contemporary creation called FOOTPRINTS which has been stage prestigious festivals in Kolkata and Mumbai.Anurekha collaborated with internationally renowned choreographers like Padmashree Kumudini Lakhia, Akram Khan (UK), Nahid Siddiqui (Pakistan/UK), Shobana Jeyasingh (UK), Mark Baldwin (UK), Andre Gingras (Holland) inviting them to create productions for her company or mentor her in her own choreographic creations.  She has worked with the reputed choreographer Aditi Managldas from India for one of her production pieces titled “Textures of Silence and Sound” which was performed a part of the opening ceremony for Commonwealth Games in Manchester

.   

Hon. Sushree Shreyasi Gopinath -Shreyasi Gopinath  trained under Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan and later went on to do her post diploma at Kalakshetra, Chennai.Soorya’s National Theatre Festival this year had a novel segment, ‘Insight.’ It featured six solo dance dramas. The theme was ‘women of Indian epics’ and the characters chosen for presentation were Amrapaali, Amba, Surpanakha, Ahalya, Urvi and Bhudevi.

Hon. Sushree Deepa Shashidran - Kuchipudi Exponent,Art Motivator,Enterpreneur.She is engaged in teaching aspirants presents solo and that of her creative ensemble, conducts inspiring workshop,lec/demostration, curates dance festival,Natya Parampara Utsav at Kuchipudi Parampara foundation Banglore, a non-profit trust that she  founded with eminent advisory committee to propogate Indian Art forms has been empannelled with Centre Ministry of Culture for  festival of Indian aborad Empanneled member of  International art organisation Spicmacay recognised artist of Kannada & Culture Govt. Of Karnataka.Apart from dance Deepa is also a professional degree Law graduate,Human Resources Specialist .

Hon. Sushree Shubhada Varadkar :- Shubhada Varadkar is a fine exponent of the Odissi form of Indian Classical Dance. A disciple of the late Padmavibhushan Guru Shri Kelucharan Mohapatra, Shubhada Varadkar is recipient of Senior Fellowship by Ministry of Culture; Governmentof India.She is an ‘A’ grade National artiste for Indian television (Doordarshan) and empanelled artiste of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi. Shubhada has been awarded prestigious awards such as“Singar Mani” “Priyadarshini” “Maharashtra Gourav” by some of the leading organisations. Recently Shubhada has received“Mahari” Award 2011of Orissa at Bhubaneswar, and“Natyaveda”2014 at Bangalore. Shubhada has performed at various festivals including theElephantaFestival, Kalidas Festival, Ellora Festival,Pune Festival, Art in Action Festival –UK, Natyanjali Festival– Chidambaram, Puri Festival, Mumbai Festival,Taj Mahotsav-Agra, ICCR’s Malhar Mahotsav – New Delhi,“Virasat Festival”to name a few. She is a founder director and chairperson of Sanskrita Foundation, a registered cultural trust operating from Mumbai.

Hon. Sushree Dr. Tanuja Nafde:- Tanuja is one of the most versatile vocalists of Hindustani Classical music. Besides featuring in numerous concerts in India and abroad she is a graded artist at All India Radio. Tanuja also composes music and have sung in Sanskrit, Bengali, Punjabi, Guajarati, Hindi, Marathi and other national languages. She teaches Indian music at Department of Music with an objective to help and nurture Hindustani Classical music, she also envisages herself as an arena for academics, educating, training and developing not only her own students, but also those interested and who reach out to her from anywhere on the globe. She had also published a book based on research findings of her Doctoral work on Raagmala paintings titled 'The Musical View of Raagmala Paintings'.Tanuja’s first love, first commitment and first passion is music, her debut album `Rang Do’ a fusion in Hindi featuring Pt. Hariharan is bound to make it big in the industry with her soothing melodious and energetic voice.

This album is a fusion that combines two styles the harmony of Western Music and Melody of Indian Music. The main characteristics of this fusion genre are variations in tempo, rhythm unfolding different colures and mood making a beautiful experience for the listeners. 

Hon. Sushree Sneha Pethkar :- Renowned hindustani vocal classical who is being judging ABSS event since 2005 . Judged many programmes 

Total 1200 winners were selected in the Global harmony 2018.
